My Little Man is Two Months Old

Ryan is two months old today!
We went to the doc on Wednesday and Ryan is 12 lbs and 23 inches, which is about 60th percentile for both. Ryan had to get a bunch of vaccine shots :( which has made him more fussy the past couple days. I hope he feels better soon. Doctor commented on his bright blue eyes and how strong he was. He said Ryan will probably crawl and roll over early. The very next day, I had him on his tummy and he actually rolled over to his back, twice! Thats something that doesnt normally happen till 4 months, i'm so proud of my little man. But, I havent seen him do it again, maybe it was just a one time thing for now. Also, he holds his head up pretty good and enjoys the bumbo seat.
I went to lunch with a friend yesterday and she commented how alert he was for a 2 month old. That's my boy...the boy who never sleeps during the day!  I was thinking.. maybe the fact he never sleeping during the day has something to do with his fast physical development, he is just soaking up all of his surroundings like a big sponge.

Weekend at Nana and Pops

We went up to Orlando this past weekend to celebrate my 30th Bday. Ryan got to meet Uncle Steve, Great Uncle Ken and cousin Haley. We introduced Ryan to the pool for the first time! well actually, it was the hot tub, because the pool was a bit cold. We let the hot tub cool off so it was bath temperature. He loved it! Nana and Pops got some lobsters ordered from up north which were really yummy.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! For Chris first fathers day we all went to Sunday brunch at Bimini boatyard in Fort Lauderdale. Yesterday, Ryan smiled on purpose for the first time, looking right at Dad!! It was a great fathers day gift.. wish I got it on camera. Although, I did get a pic below of him smiling in his sleep.

Ryan (aka Fuss Nugget, Mr. Gasman)

Admiring the Ceiling Fan
Ryan is now 6 weeks old and has been quite the bundle of fun (and chaos). He started holding his head up last week and has been enjoying the bumbo seat. He can track things, moving his head in the direction of objects, but generally he will not pay attention to us and look up at the ceiling fans instead. He does also enjoy the blinds, such exciting objects! He disregards the little monkey and fun set of keys we dangle in front of him.

Ryan Burrito Sleeping in Playard
Ryan spends a lot of time awake, which leaves me little time to blog and get anything done around the house. I starting tracking how much he slept during the day and one day it was only about 30 min and other days 2 hours. We try everything from walking around, baby bjorn, swing, bouncer seat, car seat, playyard, crib, snuggle nest in crib, car rides, tummy time, sleep on tummy or side, it all works for a bit and then I have to try something new. Although just recently he has been doing a little bit better with nap time, lets hope it stays progressing in this direction. He loves to be swaddled

Tummy Time Mat
Ryan (aka Fuss Nugget, Mr. Gasman)
Chris and I have adapted to the sleep deprivation as he only sleeps in 2 hour stretches in the night, but atleast he sleeps at night! To all those mom's out there who had babies who slept through the night and slept during day and werent major fuss balls, I am jealous! Ryan has quite a lot of gas and farts all the time, so I think thats what makes him the fuss nugget he is. I hope his digestive system gets better quick for his sake, and also for mom and dad.
